POWER OR MONEY WHICH WAY ROUND

Following the outcome of the Police and Crime Commissioner election held last week, Councillor Coppinger has now resigned from his position as Executive Member for Social Care. Councillor Coppinger will continue in his role as Councillor for Pallister Ward until further notice.

Picks up Police Commissioner slot...........+ £100,000.00? Approx (though I'm sure he will vote himself an increase later to offset any losses!)

Drops Exec slot ................................- £ 12,000.00! Honesty?

Holds on to Ward Councillor slot ............+ £ 6,125.00! First promise broken!

What about full time slot Redcar?..........+/- £ 25,000.00?

Current net balance ..............................£150,350.00 or £2,981.34 per week!

or put another way 151 band A homes rates for one year!

Just a guess, he makes sure the ward councillor slot is kept under control until Labour can set up another candidate before he initiates a local by election in Pally Park.
