Stuart Bell MP: Evening Gazette

We seek him here, we seek him there, Those Smoggies seek him everywhere. Is he in heaven?—Is he in hell? He's not in Middlesbrough, That demmed, elusive Pimpernel.
Due to unforeseen circumstances ALL contact to “The Scarlet Pimpernel” is suspended. In future constituents will need to apply direct to the “Middlesbrough Town Hall Prospective MP Barn Dancing Extravaganza” Ladies & Gentlemen please take your places for the next dance led by Ray Mallon – Musical Chairs. All participants left without a chair or good enough spin story of why they should be elected MP for Middlesbrough will be removed from the floor. Let the dancing on the ice of spin begin…

Stuart Bell MP: Evening Gazette

Post by BoroBot »

Complainant Name:
Sir Stuart Bell MP
Clauses Noted: 1
Publication: Press Gazette
Complaint:
Sir Stuart Bell MP complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published an inaccurate account of a separate press report about his working practices, in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice.
Resolution:
The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the publication online (where the article had originally appeared) of the following correction:
Press Gazette reported on 8 September that the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette had complained that local MP Sir Stuart Bell had not returned more than 100 phone-calls made by its journalists. To clarify, the Evening Gazette reported that the calls had not been answered; it did not suggest that its reporters had left messages. We are happy to set the record straight.
