Rooney - Time for a free transfer to save Middlesbrough
Rooney never scored for boro he’s a grass penalty player a loser of credibility and points.
Middlesbrough will never become a big league player with it’s demolition to grass over policy

This must be the only way to get people to live in these areas. The rubbish will soon drive them out!

Which muppet approved this??

People are leaving the area, not due to a lack of affordable housing, but because we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. No wonder we can't afford deposits when we struggle to get good jobs. Surely this money would be better spent creating jobs, so that people can get on the housing ladder through work, rather than handouts??

Well instead of demolishing hundreds of perfectly good houses in Grove Hill etc why were they not offered for sale to those on low incomes?

I would happily take up this scheme, I think it is a brilliant idea. One thing though - will Housing Benefit and Income Support disregard money people have saved for a deposit? Even working people can need some help with their rent, if the house price is £100k, the deposit would be £5000, which is £2000 above the savings threshold for benefits, so people who try to save end up losing benefits, thus they will have to reduce how much they save. Could we have ring-fenced home deposit accounts (which could help with cashflow) where if people pay in, it will not be assessed as personal savings - but it can only be used as a home deposit. If it is withdrawn for any other purpose then, of course, benefits would have to be capped. Just a thought. people who want to buy are trapped by the savings rule, this could be a way around it.

Maybe its time someone investigated, how much profit building companieas are making on each house, also how much is being charged for the land that they are built on. They seem to have lept in price over the past 20 years or so, prices going up or [ house sizes going down] which ever way you want to look at it

Demolish everything that’s standing illegal defensive tackles are ok on the opposition
The “Bulldozer” technique should be applied leave nothing to chance until the final countdown
Channel all facilities into a four part action plan

Don’t listen to others especially those living in the area

And hundreds of people turned out for the sell-out event to hear about his extensive career in broadcasting - from Sky Sports to becoming host of Channel 4 show Countdown.
Jeff, who was enthusiastic as ever about being back up north, said: “It is always great to be back in Teesside.
