Stuart Bell MP: - expenses

Analysis of Sir Stuart Bell Middlesbrough’s MP telephone usage expenses claims
suggest the tag “laziest MP in Parliament” might well be justified.

Stuart Bell states he lives in Middlesbrough and does not own property and or live in France
justifying this by his weekly visits to “Middlesbrough housing estates every Friday."
Unfortunately Sir Stuart’s Parliamentary expenses claims do not support this in fact
they suggest Sir Stuart is deliberately misleading people in Middlesbrough and the Media.
Sir Stuart openly admits to have never held Constituency Surgeries for 14 years.
Constituents can ring the Middlesbrough phone number provided to arrange appointments.
Sir Stuart’s “entered for expenses claims” telephone bills show little usage
thereby negating Stuart Bell’s above claims of Middlesbrough being his full time and only place of abode.

Matthew Elliott, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: “It seems the residents of Middlesbrough have an invisible man for an MP. If he can’t be bothered to do the job he’s paid for, perhaps it’s time for a by-election.”

Emma Boon, of the TaxPayers’ Alliance, said: ‘Taxpayers write Sir Stuart Bell a whopping pay cheque for working as an MP, it’s part of his role to meet local residents and represent them in Parliament.
‘With this apparent poor record in responding to calls it’s no surprise that some are branding him Britain’s laziest MP.
