Re: Middlesbrough Remembrance Sunday
the spin
the reality from an eye witness
MAYOR of Middlesbrough Ray Mallon stepped in to make a citizen’s arrest after an MP was pelted with eggs at a Remembrance Sunday parade.
Sir Stuart Bell was attacked from behind and hit in the back of the head with at least one egg after the parade in Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough.
The mayor, who earned the nickname Robocop with his no-nonsense style of policing, chased a man he believed to be the attacker across the road where he made a citizen’s arrest on the grounds of assault and breaching the peace, then held onto him for about five minutes before handing him over to the police.

Egg Throwing may be introduced on weekly basis during Friday Middlesbrough walkabouts with Sir Stuart
residents spotting Stuart Bell on his weekly tours of Middlesbrough Estates are invited to shower him with eggs
to proove HE was there http://www.eggstravaganza.co.uk/
Mallon at no time held the egg thrower
all the other so called dignitaries shyed away from involvement

Re: Middlesbrough Remembrance Sunday
http://www.toryboythemovie.com/ToryBoy_ ... Movie.htmlA man aged 54 will appear at Teesside magistrates at a date to be fixed, charged with common assault for throwing eggs at Middlesbrough MP Sir Stuart Bell at the town's Remembrance parade. He was held in a citizen's arrest by Middlesbrough's elected mayor, the former police superintendent Ray Mallon. Bell, who is 73 and has been the local MP for ages, has been criticised for not holding public surgeries.
He was the target of several eggs, one hitting him on the head. He defends his system of seeing constituents by appointment after suffering assaults and threats.

Re: Middlesbrough Remembrance Sunday
Another MBC / Stuart Bell MP misleading story
The Facts:-
The alleged egg throwing event occurred quite some time after the Remembrance Parade
The actual egg thrower/throwing was NOT witnessed by ANY of the dignitaries
Ray Mallon spoke to the accused some 30 metres away after the alleged egg throwing
The accused made no attempt to flee the scene and was calmly chatting with Ray Mallon for several minutes
Barry “Copp_out_inger” was seen on his mobile presumably contacting the police
The police took the accused away in a police van at the insistence of Middlesbrough Councillors

That was not an assualt, throwing eggs to show your disgust has been around for donkey's years. So do you think Nick Griffin was assaulted? Seeing as you have never heard of these two,get your facts straight.
Look up Stuart Bell on Google,he claimed 33£ on exoenses for a Remebrance day Poppy, perhaps the man who threw the egg was disgusted by such hypocrisy.
If he is fined I will donate to his fine after ascertaining why he threw it,perhaps he was once a soldier.
The police would be better charged with toppling the vandals of war memorials and the poppy burners
