do you regard such jobs relevant to the positions held at MBC?

IMHO it does not matter as long as they are just back benchers and are not chairs or executives etc. However, they should all have some form of "exam" before they are allowed to stand for election. Officers make important decisions I take it and they need experience and qualifications to be given that job - cllrs who chair a committee or are an exec make even more mportant decisions - with no experience and/or qualifications - madness and a recipe for disaster.
